Jason joined Kensington Vanguard in April 2016 as a Vice President and Underwriting Counsel and immediately became sought after by clients and colleagues alike for his legal acumen, practical approach and understanding of title risk analysis. Before joining the company, Jason was title insurance underwriting counsel for First American Title Insurance Company in New York, having previously served as claims counsel for First American Title Insurance Company and Fidelity National Title Group. Prior to that he was in the trenches in private practice focusing on real estate transactions, foreclosures, and distressed real estate. Among his professional activities, he is Chair of the New York State Land Title Association’s Law Committee, Content Editor for the American Bar Association’s Real Estate, Condemnation, and Trust Litigation Committee Website, as well as Vice-Chair of its Title Insurance Subcommittee, and Co-Chair of its Mortgage and Foreclosure Subcommittee. He writes on compelling real estate law and practice subjects, most recently in the New York Law Journal.
Jason received a B.A. in History/Government from Muhlenberg College, a J.D. from New York Law School, and is pursuing his M.A. in Real Estate Finance & Development from New York University.
